Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 September 2026

These terms cover your use of PixelForge. They are written to be readable rather than to be airtight.

The agreement

By using PixelForge you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site. We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.

The service

PixelForge provides browser-based tools for converting, compressing, resizing and editing images. The service is provided free of charge and funded by advertising.

Anonymous users may perform undefined conversions per day. Signing in with Google lifts that limit. Limits are enforced in your browser and can be reset by clearing site data — we do not maintain an account system for anonymous users.

Files are limited to 40 MB each, 20 files per batch, and 8192 pixels on the longest side by default. These values are technical limits of browser-based processing and may be adjusted.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • Process content you do not have the right to process.
  • Attempt to disrupt the service, its hosting, or its advertising, including by scripting automated bulk requests against the pages.
  • Reverse engineer the site to remove or circumvent the advertising that funds it.
  • Use the site for anything unlawful in your jurisdiction.

Your content and your rights

You keep every right you already had in the images you process. We claim no ownership of your images and no licence to them — we never receive them.

Images you produce with these tools are yours to use however you like, including commercially. There is no watermark, no attribution requirement and no licence attached to the output.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Image conversion is inherently lossy for lossy formats; we cannot guarantee that an output is identical to the input or suitable for your specific use.

Always keep your original file. We cannot recover a file from your browser session once the tab is closed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost data, lost profit or corrupted output.

Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also change or suspend these terms; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
